In the second part of our annual review we take a look at the highlights between July - December. As always if you have any further questions about any of our products or aftersales please contact us on 01789 414525 / sales@aandygroup.com Have a great New Year and see you in 2018! July Despite being one of our most popular models, the Yanmar SV26 went through some improvements. The main change is seen in the tracks. As well as having a new design and more grip, they have increased in width from 250mm to 300mm. As well as improving manoeuvrability, these new tracks will also last longer. With 15% less ground pressure, wear will reduce as well as the potential for damages to the ground. The blade has also been widened to accommodate the wider tracks, as well as full ram guard protection on the bucket, dipper and arm cylinders. August Ammann released a new line of technologically advanced APF, forward travel plate compactors. These plates provide industry leading compaction output, manoeuvrability, travel speed and climbing ability. They have also had much work done to reduce unwanted vibration to operators. These plates fit a broad range of applications, such as gardening, landscaping and road works. September We sold the first of our Pegasus roto telehandlers in September. This model the 40.25 went straight to a home building site complete with a winch and is fully remote controlled. This machine also features a powerful FPT 141 hp Turbocharged Diesel engine. Its 2-speed hydrostatic, 25 mph road speed gets it around to various locations quickly. The ATP (Anti Tipping Protection) safety feature along with stabilisers all around ensures both operator comfort and safety. The Pegasus 40.25 features a lifting capacity of 4000 kg with a 20.5 metre horizontal reach, making it ideal for most construction and building applications. October
We supplied FM Conway another batch of Yanmar excavators throughout October. This most recent deal was made up of 6 tonne ViO57’s, 5 tonne ViO50’s, 2.5 tonne SV26’s and 1.5 tonne SV16’s. This is in addition to a similar set of machinery supplied in late 2016, on that occasion 8 tonne ViO80’s were also included. A&Y’s Area Sales Manager, Peter Ayres said “it’s fantastic to be associated with innovative and ever growing companies like FM Conway. This latest order shows their loyalty to both the Yanmar and A&Y brands.” November The ARX26, which has an operating weight of 2.5 tonne, a drum width of 1200 mm and offers a centrifugal compaction force of 47KN had a successful year with many units being sold. In November more of these rollers left us to both end users and dealers. Users have commented on the great drum visibility as well as the electric drive lever ideal for work on asphalt jobs. December We now have stock of the upgraded Yanmar ViO33 and ViO38. These models are now -6 and join other models in being improved. These changes not only increase performance and productivity but also make the operating experience a much more comfortable one. Just a few of these improvements include: Higher lifting capacities, more stable undercarriage, new engine ECU, improved powerline, air suspension seat, more leg room, re-designed one piece door and much better maintenance access.

As 2017 draws to a close we take a look back on some of the main highlights. It has been a successful time for A&Y these past 12 months, with improvements on current models, increases in our product portfolio and sales to all manner of end customers. January We saw the first Yanmar ViO12's arrive with us before their launch at the Executive Hire Show. These zero tail swing excavators have an operating weight of 1235 kg and an expandable working width ranging between 830 - 1000 mm. A main feature of these excavators is the use of servo controls and has led to customers telling us they treat the machine more like a 1.5 tonne machine rather than a micro. February The first time we showed the lightweight ATR30 rammer was in February. This compactor weighs just 29kg and is incredibly mobile and manoeuvrable by one man. Powered by a Honda GX35 engine it has become a popular tool for firms carrying out work on fibre optic cabling jobs and patchwork. March We took delivery of the first batch of ASC70 single drum rollers with the very latest in engine technology, which meets US Tier 4 final and EU Stage IIIB emissions standards. All this without the need for AdBlue. The ASC70 is a 7.2 tonne roller powered by a Tier 4f Deutz engine. During a visit from a Deutz engine expert he commented on what a great fit this engine was to the machine. He was impressed with it's output and the way it complemented the needs of the roller "you wont have an issues with these machines" he added. April
We signed a new deal with Ardent Hire Solutions, one of the largest providers of self-drive plant in the UK, to supply over 100 new Ammann rollers in a deal worth upwards of £4 million. These machines will update and compliment an existing fleet of Ammann rollers located throughout Ardent’s 14 national depots. This particular deal is made up with a range of compaction machines, including trench rollers, light tandem rollers and single drum self-propelled rollers. May In time for the Plantworx show we took delivery of a Cormidi CMF tracked carrier. These machines stand for Cormidi Multi Function, it is effectively one machine, with over 100 different configurations through the use of changeable attachments. Examples of regularly used attachments on these machines include: 3 side tip, pallet carrier, concrete mixer, utility grapple and sweeper. During the show we had a lot of interest in this model and we think during 2018 more and more will be sold. June We brought you the exciting news that we had upgraded our product portfolio by becoming the importer for Dieci Construction machines. These products, predominantly telescopic and “roto” telehandlers, but also including truck mixers and dumpers, have complemented our existing ranges. Export Manager for Dieci, Patrizia Gambarelli commented on the deal “A&Y are the ideal fit to push our construction products in the UK. They are a large, professional company with many years’ experience of the market. Having visited the premises and met the staff we are sure this is going to be a very productive partnership.” ![]() We were delighted to learn last week that A&Y Equipment Ltd have been listed as one of the top 50 fastest growing companies in Coventry & Warwickshire. The BDO growth barometer recognises the 50 fastest growing companies in the region and placed us at 29th, surrounded by nationally known companies such as Aldi, The Air Ambulance and Wasps RFC, with an average annual growth of 20%. This is great reward for all the hard work from everyone at A&Y. With exciting deals for both Yanmar and Ammann machinery going through already in 2017 plus brand new machine models due in the coming weeks we look forward to continuing the growth and working our way up the table!
