The second part of our annual review concentrates on July - December which included the small matters of a re-brand and new excavator line! Thank you from everyone at Molson Compact Equipment for your support during 2018. Let's hope 2019 brings more success for everyone. July Hands up who spotted the Dieci telehandlers working at European race tracks over the summer? Twelve Zeus 37.7s and Dedalus 30.7s were on hand not only to help with race week setups but also to clear up after any unfortunate accidents. We watched an early collision in one race, in the space of a few minutes, the Zeus 37.7 machine positioned in the escape route, at the exit of the corner, hitched up and carried off the two cars, while marshals removed dangerous fragments from the track. August Plant Hire firm, Plantforce, added a number of Dieci Apollo 25.6R telehandlers into their growing fleet. The Apollo 25.6R a model specifically spec’d for hire work and suiting the requirements of Plantforce. Further options were added to these machines to make them ready for hire. This included; green flashing beacons, radio systems and reverse camera kits. All of which was fitted by our engineers. September We supported the Molson Group stand at the APF forestry show by having a Bergmann 4010 tracked dumper on the demo plot. This 10 tonne, tracked dumper with a rotating skip and fully turning operators platform is perfect for use on large outdoor jobs such as forestry work. Features such as: low ground pressure, powerful engine and a large comfortable cab, make it it particularly suited to this work. October
*Hello Molson Compact Equipment LTD* In line with the current evolution of the Molson Group, we re-branded as Molson Compact Equipment LTD in October this year. This meant our site just outside of Stratford-upon-Avon, became the Molson Group ‘Centre of Excellence’ for all compact plant equipment. Molson Compact Equipment Managing Director, Robert Brown said of the changes “Being the centre of excellence will involve us being responsible for the processing of Sales, Parts, Servicing, Storage and PDI for the Molson Group compact ranges. Whilst still offering ongoing Yanmar parts and service support” November A big part of the re-brand is the addition of Kobelco mini excavators to the Molson Compact offering. These excavator models, from 1-10 tonne, perfectly complement the existing lines of Ammann, Dieci, Bergmann and Cormidi plant machinery. Models including the 1 tonne, SK10SR-2, 2.8 tonne SK28SR-6, 7 tonne SK75SR-3 and 8 tonne SK85MSR-3 all started going through our workshop in Novemeber. December A group of Molson Compact staff, as well as current and prospective customers took a trip to the Bergmann factory in Meppen, Germany. It was great to see how these high quality dumpers are put together and the build quality along each step of production. Also on site was the car part manufacturing area, where Bergmann produce manifolds for Porsche and Ferrari.

2018 has been some year for Molson Compact Equipment LTD! We have seen many changes over the past 12 months, but now we are in a position where we can offer you the best lineup of products in our history. Below are just some of our highlights and favorite moments from the first six months of the year. Part 2 will follow soon... January A project to recondition 5 Dieci F7000 truck mixers started in January. These trucks have had a 24/7 working life on a major construction site. The job at hand wasn't to just replace but actually improve the specifications on the machine. Once the cement was cleared the mechanics roles and jobs included: Replacing components such as; starter motors, batteries, alternators and filters, as well as a complete re paint. February Once again we showed a range of smaller products, well suited to the hire industry at 2018's EHS. This year we saw a high interest in the Dieci Apollo 25.6R telehandler as well as the Cormidi hit-tip tracked dumpers. The highlight of the show this year was securing a deal to provide Ammann ARR1575 trench rollers to a large hire firm. March In March we had a Zeus 33.11, Dieci's most compact stabilised telehandler, making a great 'hands on' impression, working on a national home builders site. A big benefit of the 33.11 is that the jack legs deploy within the width of the wheels. Thus allowing the operator to still be able to lift to maximum height, even on compact sites, perfect for modern day house building. April
For our hard work on the continued deal we have to supply Ardent Hire with their rollers, we received a special commendation from Ammann. Well done to everyone from Sales, Parts, Service and Marketing who helped us gain this award. May Our product portfolio grew further in June with the addition of Bergmann dumpers. The newly remodelled Bergmann ADT150 wheeled dumpers leads the new lineup. These machines come with either a swivel, rear or three side tip and have optional 180° rotating seats with reversing cameras, so the operator can always be facing the direction of travel. This key safety feature makes these machines well suited to industries such as tunneling, mining and quarrying. June A very hot, dusty but successful Hillhead show was held in late June. The launch of the Bergmann machines took centre stage but there was much interest in the Dieci telehandler models and Ammann compaction equipment. A prototype ARX-2 series roller was also on the stand, a glimpse into the future of tandem rollers. Molson Compact Equipment will be showcasing a selection of machines from their extensive range at LAMMA 2019. The models being exhibited all have an operational cross over between the construction and agricultural sectors. Joining a hi-tip, Cormidi tracked barrow and the impressive TrommALL 2500 deck screen, will be three excavator models from Kobelco. Molson Group are the UK importer of these Japanese built excavators, with a reputation for reliability, smoothness of operation and low fuel consumption. The 8 tonne, SK85 MSR-2PB is renowned as one of the best excavators in its weight class. The innovative two piece boom makes it a very versatile digger, with exceptional dig depth, reach and lifting capabilities for a machine this size. Other features that make the SK85 such a popular choice include; a large comfortable cab, a revolutionary noise and dust reduction filter, eco-mode to further improve fuel efficiency, a powerful 42kW engine, plus rear and side camera for increased all around visibility and safety. On show from the smaller, but no less popular, end of the Kobelco range will be the SK28SR-6 (2,950 kg) and the SK10SR-2 (1,065 kg).
The SK28 offers practical performance whilst maintaining a short tail swing. Making this compact, yet powerful mini well suited to all manner of groundworks, even in confined spaces. The SK10 has an expanding undercarriage from 750-980 mm, aiding stability and digging capabilities of this micro excavator. Molson Group looks forward to welcoming you to Stand 9.316 at LAMMA 2019. In the past month we have seen a big upturn in sales on the Ammann ATR30 Rammer. In fact we only have the last few units in stock now. It's lightweight design, narrow foot and slim shape make this rammer an ideal fit for contractors who often work in tight spaces or on jobs that require precise compaction. Therefore it's no surprise that many of these rammers have been sold to firms using them on cabling jobs. One company that has had success with the ATR 30 is CK Civils, an engineering groundworks contractor working in and around the London/Kent region. We visited them on site working their ATR30 and here's what we found: They currently have 20 men employed installing ducting and infrastructure for Virgin Media's fibre optic cabling roll out.
Feedback we received on this visit and also from other customers echo's the same reasons why the ATR30 is proving an essential tool:
