Below are examples of machine sales we've promoted
The latest model to go through Yanmar's impressive upgrading and become a -6 machine is the ViO38.
This 3695 kg machine is part of the zero tail swing. ViO range and is popular among users looking for a machine between 2.5 and 5 tonne.
Below are some of the key features of this upgraded machine and a brief description of how this will help the operator save precious time and ultimately money.
With an output of 18.9 kW the latest generation of Yanmar TNV engines is found in the ViO38-6. This electronically controlled, 3-cylinder engine with direct injection; improves performance, fuel consumption and emission levels. Auto-deceleration and Eco-mode are available as standard.
The ViO38-6 is equipped with a ViPPS hydraulic system which cumulates the flow of separate pumps in order to obtain the optimal combination in terms of speed, power, smoothness and balance to allow smooth and simultaneous performance of all the operations, even while traveling
An upgraded operator station includes: increased leg room, Yanmar “Universal Design” for an enhanced comfort and productivity, new electronic instrumentation, improved ergonomics and air suspension seat as standard.
Standard equipment on the ViO38-6 includes an auxiliary hydraulic circuit which is operated via a proportional control located on the joystick which adapt the flow and the direction of the oil flow.
The second speed switch has also been relocated on the blade lever in order to facilitate the use of the machine.
The hydraulic pump and control valve have both been upgraded, meaning no compromise between power and compactness.
Increased Stability & Lifting
Although the operating weight of the ViO38-6 is reduced to 3 695 kg, the optimal mass distribution enables to improve the loading chart of the machine in most positions, especially in the front positions. Furthermore, the boom of the ViO38-6 was completely redesigned in order to improve also its lifting capacity and digging performance and to provide a longer service life.
These really are just a select few of the new features.

Crossrail in London has been called one of the largest railway infrastructure projects in Europe.
Essentially, Crossrail is a new, high-frequency and high-capacity rail network comprising 136 km of track that will supplement the London Underground (which is nearing the limit of its capacity). The network will connect Reading to Abbey Wood (a suburb in the southeast of the capital), delivering a higher frequency service of up to 24 trains per hour during peak periods. Crossrail will also connect Heathrow Airport to the Eurostar high-speed line, which travels to mainland Europe via the Channel Tunnel.
With a total estimated cost of around 15 billion pounds, the initiative is confirmed to be Europe’s largest and most ambitious public works project of all time. Despite some teething problems, the construction of the new network is well under way and the central section is expected to enter service by 2018, as per schedule.
Working away in this dark and cluttered complex of narrow, muddy tunnels up to 40 metres underground are a number of Dieci concrete mixers and dumpers, agile machines that are ideally suited to operating in such conditions.
The dumpers, with a load capacity up to 7 cubic metres, quickly transport excavated material to conveyor belts, preparing the tunnel for subsequent strengthening operations that involve lining the walls with sprayed concrete.
The spraying nozzles are themselves fed by Dieci truck mixers with a production capacity of 5 cubic meters per hour, sufficient to keep pace with the eight giant cutterheads that dig 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
Thanks partly to Dieci machines, the Crossrail project is entering its final stages. Nevertheless, consultations are already underway for the construction of Crossrail 2, an additional rail link on a on a north-south axis which, if approved, will begin construction in 2019 and open in 2033!
All of these machines are available now from A&Y Equipment. You can call us on 01789 414525 or send a message to email@example.com for more details on these machines.
Earlier this year we launched the Ammann ATR30 rammer. This new, lightweight model extended the lower end of the rammer portfolio from Ammann and proved to be hugely successful so far.
It's narrow foot and slim design make this rammer an ideal fit for contractors who often work in tight spaces or on jobs that require precise compaction. Therefore it's no surprise that many of these rammers have been sold to firms using them on cabling jobs.
One particular company that have had success with the ATR30 are CK Civils, an engineering groundworks contractor working in and around the London/Kent region. They currently have 20 men employed installing ducting and infrastructure for Virgin Media's fibre optic cabling roll out.
Having visited one of the CK Civils sites the following was all feedback on why the Ammann ATR30 is the perfect fit for these jobs and how there is nothing else in the market that compares:
As you may have seen we have had success recently with the SV100, our 10 tonne excavator from Yanmar that is a perfect fit for a range of sites. One of the key selling points of this machine is how it offers the performance of a larger excavator whilst still remaining compact.
The following key features are all found as standard on the SV100, it really is an impressive machine, with many more features and benefits available by viewing the brochure or Contacting Us.
The past weeks has seen more Ammann ARX26 tandem rollers being PDI'd and going out to customers.
The ARX26, which has an operating weight of 2.5 tonne, a drum width of 1200 mm and offers a centrifugal compaction force of 47KN, was part of the large Ammann roller deal to Ardent Hire at the start of the year. This particular model has continued to be a popular choice consistently throughout 2017 and today we pick out just a few of the reasons why.
The machine is designed to provide the operator with exceptional drum views, making the work close to obstacles and obstructions far easier.
When operating on soil but particularly asphalt then a smooth stop and start is essential, in order to not leave marks on the surface. The ARX 26 comes with an electric drive lever as standard allowing for smooth operation and full control of the machines speed. This lever is found on all tandem rollers across the ARX range and is widely regarded as the best drive lever on the market.
You will find on the lever the control for the vibration and sprinkler system, allowing the user full control from these functions from one lever. It is an option to add a 2nd travel lever on the left hand side of the operating platform as well as the right.
The operators platform, including the seat, steering column, travel lever and floor are isolated from vibration. Being situated on a specific vibration reducing mounts has led the ARX 26 to having the lowest hand arm vibration levels for rollers this size. Making longer work shifts more comfortable which should in turn increase overall productivity.
Also situated on the operators platform is the throttle, with it's three positions, Low Idle (900 rpm), Work (2100 rpm) and High Power (2400 rpm). This allows the rollers to vibrate at different frequencies, creating different centrifugal forces, depending on the material being compacted.
You will find these rollers in a number of hire fleets across the country and one piece of feedback we often receive is how the latest models larger water tank has aided users. This allows longer work periods before having to re fill the tank. A clear gauge shows the current water levels and a large opening aids fast drainage.
Each drum on the ARX26 comes with an easily adjustable scraper bar as well as jets for the sprinkler system. Scrapers not only keep the drum clean of material build up, they also hold the water in between the scraper and the drum to keep it lubricated, essential when working with asphalt.
This model of roller, like all the other tandem ARX have many more benefits. To find out more information please Contact Us
