The SV16 is one of the excavators in our Yanmar 1.5 tonne range. It was created with the goal of offering excellent performance from a compactly designed digger.
This mini-excavator with ultra-short swing radius provides easy access and works in the tightest spots. It is intended for a wide range of applications such as urban renewal, grading or landscaping. Its transportation weight and its very compact undercarriage enables the SV16 to be transported with its accessories on a trailer.
A main feature of the SV16 is it's flow-sharing closed centre hydraulic system, which proportionally distributes the flow rates. This allows the system to guarantee precision, flexibility, power and the perfect simultaneity of movements.
In short the operator can perform all movements with excellent performance, regardless of the flow rate or load.
Of course the SV16 has the standard Yanmar benefits that make them such a popular choice. These machines are designed to last, with all the cylinders and hoses fully protected. The in cab digital screen gives the operator real time status updates of the machine and gives indications about important elements such as fuel, coolant temperature, hours and service intervals.
We have both cabbed and canopy models currently in stock so please contact us if you are interested in more information, including price and available finance.

You may have seen that during Plantworx we had a Cormidi tracked dumper working on our demonstration area. This was a brand new machine for the UK market, from the Cormidi CMF range and received plenty of very positive reviews from those that operated it during the show.
The new Cormidi CMF range offers you huge versatility in any job, with not just the standard function of a tracked dumper, but a further range of attachments to make this machine great value for money. In fact the model we showed, the 1500 has over one hundred possible configurations. Many of the attachments can be swapped over, without the use of tools in just 2 minutes.
As with all the Cormidi carriers, the undercarriage is a key selling point. It is incredibly robust. It really has been created for the toughest jobs. The rubber track’s special design is optimised for continuous performance with great traction and a long life with minimal wear. The rocking rollers allow for constant ground contact, giving a more stable ride.
Another unique feature on this machine is the most efficient Hi-Flow system available on the market. Two variable piston pumps with automatic constant power means the machine always has maximum power available without a stalled engine.
Below is just a few more of the key benefits. Please contact us for further information, including brochures and the opportunity to demo this machine. 01789 414525 / email@example.com
Despite the following video being from Canadian dealers and users of Ammann light equipment, we feel that the values and reasons behind their praise for these machines is true in the UK and Ireland.
“The machines help to make our business very profitable by the fact they’re a lot easier to use” is a statement that rings true with our Ammann vibratory plates, Rammers, light tandem rollers and trench rollers.
Please take a look at our Ammann page for details on these machines plus others in our extensive compaction range. You can see this by following THIS LINK
Throughout the month on June there has been an upturn in sales of the Yanmar ViO33, helped by the extra exposure it received on our stand at Plantworx.
This 3.5 tonne excavator is from the Yanmar zero tail swing range, meaning it can work up against walls and obstacles and also reducing the obstruction caused to others on sites. The ViO33 is fitted with the Yanmar standard features; VIPPs and VICTAs, which increase cycle times, aids stability and improves overall capabilities.
When recently putting together a features and benefits booklet for this model we found the following to be just a few of the main selling points:
Alternative Hydraulic Circuit
Users of the ViO33 have the option of using an alternative hydraulic circuit.
The machine is fitted with 3 hydraulic lines as standard, however the bucket cylinder line can be used too. Making this excavator even more versatile.
Long Arm as Standard
The ViO33 now comes with a long arm as standard. This has increased the machines dig depth to over 3 metres, as well as the dump height to 3380mm, both impressive for this class of digger.
Complete Cylinder Protection
New spring steel plates are in place to help shock absorption and protect the cylinders and rods.
The boom cylinder has been further reinforced to absorb shocks caused by using hydraulic hammers. The machine is now much less likely to be immobilised due to cylinder rod damages.
Hydraulic Blade Control
The hydraulic lever gives the operator greater control of the blade movements, making grading operations an easier task. The blade is now more sensitive and can be controlled with greater precision.
Large Opening, Durable Door
This generation of ViO33’s have a newly modified stamped door, with central opening hinges.
This is more durable than on previous models and still keeps the machine as zero tail swing, even when clipped open.
It's now over a week since Plantworx 2017 closed its doors on another successful show. Despite the best efforts of the weather we still saw many visitors to our stand and the enquiry pad was as full as ever come day 3.
As hoped the launch of our new Dieci products went well, it was great to see so many people siting in the cabs, checking under the bonnets and asking questions about the telehandlers. The 1.5 tonne Yanmar SV16 perched up in the air on a Dieci Icarus 40.17 also allowed people to spot our stand from around the show!
The following is taken from the official Plantworx show report:
A&Y Equipment, announced that they had become the UK’s Dieci construction importer at Plantworx, sold their first Dieci telehandler at the show on Tuesday. A local independent builder who had been rained off his site came onto the stand to take a look at the Dieci machines. A deal was agreed for a Dedalus 30.7, which is a fixed telehandler able to lift 3 tonnes up to 7 metres.
A&Y MD, Robert Brown said “Plantworx was the ideal time to launch this new range, it was a great opportunity for relevant people to see and talk about these new machines. From the show we have made sales of a Dedalus 30.7 as well as the Apollo 25.6R from the stand, this is on top of many further Dieci enquires, along with our existing Ammann, Yanmar and Cormidi equipment”
Interest had in machines during the show are now starting to turn into sales. This week already there has been Cormidi tracked dumpers, Yanmar SV08, ViO17 and ViO33's sold just from people attending the show. On the compaction side the ACA2030 add on compactor has gone to a new home through our dealers Phoenix Hire & Sales, plus there are ARX26's being prepped in the workshop for delivery as I type.
Thanks for everybody who made the show possible, from organisers to contractors and most importantly the visitors. See you all again soon...
During last weeks Plantworx show, one of the most enquired about machines on our stand was the ever popular Yanmar SV08. This powerful micro excavator, weighing just over 1 tonne, is ideal for use in landscaping, indoor renovation, housing foundations and pipe laying.
A key factor that makes this machine so well suited to these fields is mobility; expandable track width (680mm - 840 mm) allows the SV08 to travel through tight spaces, such as doors but also aid stability when digging. It's ultra small rear turning radius (just 305mm overhang) provides higher efficiency in narrow passages and spots.
Performance of this excavator isn't lessened due to size. The powerful, 10.2 hp, interim Tier 4 engine is environmentally friendly with clean exhaust and very low noise. As well as this the boom is fitted with a dual action auxiliary circuit (PTO), enabling users to add various accessories. All of which is protected by strong external covers and shields, in fact the flexible hoses have been carefully centrally routed to eliminate twisting problems.
The SV08 has many selling points which are outlined below, you can find more technical data and in depth details in the machines brochure which is downloadable HERE.
Well that's Day 1 of Plantworx done and what a day it's been!
On a slightly less windy, but a lot more wet opening day than 2 years ago we have seen the A&Y stand as a hive of activity. Many new faces as well as current customers have come by to take a look at our product lines on show.
The Dieci telehandlers, which take centre stage on the stand have gained interest and we are delighted to be associated with premium brands like this to further compliment our product portfolio. We were delighted to secure a deal for a machine within the first hour of the show opening, more to come on this soon.
Today alone we have secured deals for Cormidi tracked dumpers, Yanmar 1.5 tonne excavators, as well as securing more Ammann tandem rollers into a key account.
It was good to see people having a trial of the impressive SV100-2pb in the demo area. We really feel like this specific 10 tonne machine has it's own niche in the market and after the feedback received today alone we expect to see sales of this model grow.
The show is on for another 2 days so if you are visiting please come by stands F44 and F53 to see how A&Y Equipment can help your needs.
Those of you who visited our busy stand at Plantworx this week, will have seen the Dieci Apollo 25.6R situated in our central frame.
This particular model has the main selling points that its less than 2 metres wide and in cab height. This makes it very mobile and perfectly suited to work on job sites where space is of a premium.
Despite the dimensions of the machine the cab remains spacious, in fact the most roomy cab of any telehandler in this category.
Another feature that people were impressed with this week was the hydrostatic drive, which is found on all the Dieci telehandlers. This will improve the machines maneuverability and also when fully loaded wont impact on performance as much.
Below we have highlighted some of the main specs of this product. If you would like further information on this or anything from our Dieci range, then let us know by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
A&Y Equipment Ltd will be adding to their product portfolio after signing a deal to become the UK importer for the Dieci range of construction machinery.
These products, predominantly telescopic and “roto” telehandlers, but also including truck mixers and dumpers, will complement A&Y’s existing ranges of Yanmar construction, Ammann compaction and Cormidi tracked carriers.
During next week’s Plantworx show there will be a selection of Dieci telehandlers positioned on the A&Y stand (no’s F44 – F53). Models to include; the Icarus 40.17 with its 17 metre lifting height, the Zeus 40.7 which has a 4000kg lifting capacity and the popular Apollo 25.6R. With a width and height of both under 2 metres it is ideally suited to working in tight spaces.
Dieci themselves started out in 1962 and by 1983 became one of the first European manufacturers of telehandlers. The brand has continued to develop and grow its product offering, which now stands at 17 current production lines, incorporating 143 models all of which are manufactured in house at their modern, purpose built factories.
A&Y Equipment’s Managing Director, Robert Brown said that he is delighted to be associated with premium brands such as Dieci. “The products will compliment those that we already supply, fill in some gaps in our product line and ultimately allows us to offer more complete solutions to our customers.”
A&Y will be giving full Dieci dealer back up, including spare parts and servicing, based from their Midlands home. Export Manager for Dieci, Patrizia Gambarelli commented on the deal “A&Y are the ideal fit to push our construction products in the UK. They are a large, professional company with many years’ experience of the market. Having visited the premises and met the staff we are sure this is going to be a very productive partnership.”
Plantworx will be the first time that many will have experienced a Dieci telehandler, so please visit the A&Y stand to see these machines and hear how they can suit your needs.
