This week we have received a special framed commendation from Ammann, for the work done by A&Y Equipment on the Ardent deal.
We reported on this deal in more details last year (www.aandygroup.com/ay-news/ardent-choose-ammann-and-ay)
In short we signed a deal to supply over 100 new Ammann rollers, worth upwards of £4 million. This was made up by the following machines:
A similar deal has been agreed again in 2018 and machines are currently being delivered to Ardent depots all across the country, proving Ardent's trust in both Ammann and A&Y.

We currently have a number of Ammann, forward travel, APF vibratory plates in stock and ready for next day delivery.
These plates fit a broad range of applications, such as gardening, landscaping and road works. With an optional water sprinkler, vulkollan mat and transport wheel kit, the machine are also suitable for asphalt applications and the laying of paving stones.
The APF line is powered by reliable and efficient Honda petrol engines. The largest 20/50 is available with a Honda petrol or Hatz diesel engine.
On top of the additional features, each plate boasts; a frame protecting all of the crucial components, a wear plate designed to last and a maintenance free exciter system.
A main feature is the new Z-buffer inserted into the handles. This patented system enables precise machine control whilst protecting the operator from vibration, levels are now below 2.5 m/sec2. These low HAV levels allow for longer work shifts without a health risk or the need for documentation.
In stock now we have:
All eyes will be on Paris next week as Intermat takes over. All of the major manufacturers will be there showing off their latest releases and innovations.
You can find all of our machines by visiting these stands:

Dieci - Stand E5 G 002
Yanmar - Stand E2 C 005
Dieci will be releasing two machines to their extensive telehandler range during the show, by introducing the Icarus 50.18 and the Pegasus 50.26. Both models represent the company’s goal to increase loading capacity and lifting height of its machines.
In the case of the 50.18, the model provides 5 tonnes capacity and 18m height. The machine can lift 5000kg and reach heights of up to 18m. It weighs in at 14,500kg and is powered by an 85.1 kW Kubota engine that complies with Stage 4 emission limits.
The chassis has been completely re-designed, based on a new modular style across Dieci’s machines. Designing new models with a modular concept allows Dieci to use the same subassemblies on machines from different product families, guaranteeing standardisation of components.
Dieci is also launching the Pegasus 50.26 at Intermat. Pegasus models are available with lifting heights from 16m to 30m and loading capacities from 3.8 tonnes to 6 tonnes. The new 26m model combines the new electronically managed Final Tier 4/Stage IV engines.
The machine is driven by a 4.5 litre diesel engine with a maximum power rating of 127 kW. FPT’s NEF N45 Turbo Common Rail engine, in compliance with Final Tier 4/Stage IV emission regulations, makes it possible to combine lively performance and fast response to operator commands with reliability, simple maintenance and excellent fuel economy.
The new electronic hydrostatic transmission makes for top speeds of up to 40 km/h with precision control also of low speed travel movements. The transmission is combined with a separate inching pedal, likewise electronically controlled, and a servocontrolled two-speed work/travel mechanical gearbox.
To reach a lifting height of 26m the boom was designed from scratch, with four sections that extend simultaneously and proportionally. The chassis and turret are derived from Pegasus 45.30, the flagship vehicle in the Dieci range (as shown below).
The Ammann ARX Light Tandem Rollers deliver compaction no matter what your needs and which model you choose.
The light rollers start at 1475 kg of operating weight and run all the way to 4650 kg, while compaction widths range from 800 mm to 1380 mm.
There are varied features and options – from combination rollers that include drums and tyres to full flush models that work tight against obstacles to heavier options that deliver more static force.
Whatever your choice, you’ll find a roller with the compaction output you need.
Ammann Tandem Rollers are designed and engineered for easy operation. That includes the location of controls, an easy-to-see operator display, drive levers, visibility and easy adjustment of amplitude and frequency.
The electronic drive lever used is offered only by Ammann and it enables smooth starts and stops, which is especially important for use on asphalt jobs.
The narrow frame enables optimal view down to the drum. The seat, which is located on a double vibration isolated platform, is fully adjustable which improves the users sight lines.
Service and maintenance points are easy to reach, as are fluid ports. Your service team will make quicker, more efficient work of preventive maintenance.

Our Dieci products will have a presence at next weeks ScotPlant show, through our telehandler dealer for Scotland, Young Plant Sales.
Featured on their stand will be a 6 metre, Apollo 25.6R and a 14 metre, Icarus 40.14, two of the most popular models in the range.
Some basic specs for these models can be seen below:
The show itself takes place Friday 20th & Saturday 21st April at Edinburgh's Royal Highland Centre. The Young Plant & Equipment Ltd stand is centrally located, along Avenue E.
If you are visiting the show be sure to take a look at the Dieci machines, with more and more sales across the UK you will be seeing and hearing plenty more about these impressive products.
We do have finance options such as Op Lease available, as are extended warranty and service contract possibilities. For further information on this or any of our products please contact the office on: 01789 414525 / email@example.com
The ARW65, Ammann's walk behind roller, combines two application within one machine.
The operator can choose between a high amplitude setting for working on gravel and soil based surfaces, or a low amplitude setting for usage on asphalt and bituminous material.
The ARW 65 features scrapers on both drums and a 60-litre water tank with sprinkler system to ensure the machine is ready to handle bituminous surfaces when called upon.
Edge work - The ARW65 offers clearance on both sides of the drum, allowing compaction work up to curbstones, walls and other obstacles. Therefore no extra work on edges is required, saving precious time.
Smooth operation - Each machine is fitted with a hydraulic drive, ensuring variable speed adjustment and smooth starting/braking actions.
Minimal maintenance - The walk behind rollers are built without mechanical fast-wearing parts such as V belts and a clutch, helping reduce maintenance time.
Safety - The guide handle includes the 'dead mans handle' which immediately shuts off the machine if the operator releases their grip. When in reverse mode the roller's speed limit is set to 2.5km/h as a safety regulation to protect workers.

The Ammann ARX20 roller is a light, articulated machine, with a 1 metre wide drum, that delivers optimal compaction results through its double drive and double vibration systems.
A big plus for asphalt and groundworkers using this roller is that it works flush up against curbs and other obstructions. The operator also has excellent visibility from the work station, not only to the drums but also all around the machine.
The electric drive-lever makes for smooth starting and stopping and is another the reasons the roller is popular. Other operator benefits include a rubber-mounted platform that limits vibration, a reliable Yanmar engine and large water tank capacities.
Like all of our Ammann ARX tandem rollers, the ARX 20 is built with high quality, long-lasting components that reduce the cost of ownership over the lifetime of the machine. It is reliable, economical, safe and fuel efficient.
