Today Yanmar have reported what a successful show Bauma 2016 was for them.
The biggest stand in the companies history seems to have paid dividends and some fantastic feedback about current and new products was received. During a show press conference Yanmar's president Mr Jean-Marc Reynaud gave a speech about a fresh approach from Yanmar, concentrating on what he called a "total cost ownership focus" in the new machines. He identified that the rental market, particularly in the UK was a key growth area. Mr Reynaud also revealed that in March, having done several months of testing, Finnish rental company Cramo signed an agreement to invest in 800 to 1000 Yanmar compact excavators over two years. Thus showing the strong belief in the machines reliability and usability. As mentioned the new products on display earned many new admirers and we will be bringing you news of these shortly, there might even be a treat in store for A&Y's Hillhead 2016 stand... Meanwhile here's a selection of images from the show courtesy of Yanmar.

![]() The ViO50 is 5 tonne machine able to work in confined work spaces due to its reduced dimensions and zero tail swing concept. As previously mentioned Yanmar zero tail swing excavators are widely regarded as the most stable on the market. The ViO50 comes complete with the unique Yanmar VICTAS system, where the bearing surface is enlarged through; track width, crawler shape, position of rollers and pitching on the tracks. All of this combines to increase the stability, lifting capacity, travel speed and comfort, whilst reducing track and ground wear. ![]() Changes made on the current version of this Yanmar 5 tonner include: - The blade has been put forward by 20 cm for improved control of the job and better leveling. The blade lever is now hydraulically operated. - 3rd auxiliary PTO circuit: standard proportional control to make use of accessories easier - Larger, fully equipped cabin, with a new durable stamped door - Yanmar VIPPS hydraulic system as standard. VIPPS is the combination of pumps in order allowing the requested oil flow to each cylinder according to their needs. Thus allowing quicker and more precise work, whilst all the while aiding fuel consumption. The above diagram shows and example of VIPPS in action when using your excavator for grading. Other standard equipment include long arm, ROPS-FOPS-TOPS cabin, fuel filling pump and three fully protected cylinders.
Users of this excavator are always impressed with it's high performance level whilst remaining a compact and functional digger. If you would like further information on this or any of our ViO zero tail swing excvators the range including brochures can be viewed by clicking the link here: Yanmar ViO Excavator Page This week our website and the Ammann Compaction sections in particular have been having an update.
You will now see that each section has a brief outline of key specs, to mirror the Yanmar pages and the brochures are being changed to the new updated versions. Alongside this we have some new images of the machines and a slight change of layout for each page. You can click on any of the below links to take you directly to the new pages for the many different rollers we have available. Happy browsing... This roller is well suited to a number of job assignments, with machines working in; pipeline construction, landscaping, house construction, industrial development sites and energy system construction to name a few. The ASC30 squeezes into tight jobsites and provides high productivity in confined work spaces, performing on multiple soil types and in difficult underfoot conditions. Yet despite it's smaller size it still features a hydrostatic drive system and the high compaction (85kN of centrifugal force) associated with Ammann rollers. Exceptional Traction:

This 10 tonne excavator has already been found to improve lifting, moving and placing loads using its innovative 2 piece boom system. This in turn will increase productivity and reduce job times. However with the addition of a tiltrotator the machines versatility increases again. In a previous post which highlighted the relationship between Yanmar and Steelwrist it was shown that productivity on a standard machine can be up to 30% greater, on this machine that will be higher. (www.aandygroup.com/news/increase-excavator-productivity-by-30-with-yanmar-and-steelwrist) The SV100 2pb is fitted with an X12 tiltrotator as it's designed for an excavator or a backhoe loader with an operating weight between 7 and 12 tons. Steelwrist say that "your machine converts from being only a standard earth moving tool into a versatile platform that excels your work with any attachment" with the addition of one of their rotators. The extra ordinary tilt capabilities offered with a bi-directional tilt angle of 45°, coupled with the high torque rotation, make sure to bring out the best of your machine and your tools. You will be able to see this complete setup at ScotPlant 2016 as well as Hillhead in June. It currently has a grading bucket with a rear gripper cassette added, there is also the option to have pallet forks attached. The below images show the even more impressive reach capabilities now achievable A&Y are delighted to have Relentless Plant as dealers for Scotland's central belt and borders regions. Based in Cumbernauld, they will be selling the whole of Ammann, Yanmar, Cormidi and Prinoth's portfolios. Relentless founder Andy Black said of the new partnership "It's good to be associated with these kind of premium brands" During the upcoming ScotPlant show (A&Y preview coming soon...) Relentless Plant will be showcasing a selection of products on their stand. A great chance to meet the team and in particular new sales and service manager, Eddie Murray who will have a special emphasis on the Yanmar products.
Peter Barfield, key accounts manager at A&Y Equipment, added, “Relentless are a relatively new company with a strong future in Scotland. Headed up by Andy Black and with sales managers Robert Dawson and Eddie Murray you have a very exciting team with many levels of experience. “Relentless in the last couple of years have been making a name for themselves as a service company servicing and repairing steel tracks on excavators, along with supplying attachments and wear parts. With a large customer base of excavator users already established it becomes a straightforward fit to be selling Yanmar excavators, this then leads on to other products. If you dig it you have to flatten it, so the customer then needs compaction equipment, step up Ammann. Ammann make everything from a small compaction plate right up to a 25 tonne self-propelled roller. “Relentless have five fully trained service engineers and a hose replacement van on the road so the customer has peace of mind. The product is as only good as the backup, something that has been a top priority with Andy.” ![]() Next week, between 11-17th April will see the 31st Edition of the Bauma show taking place in Munich, Germany.
