You may have seen this week on Twitter (@AandYgroup) that our Yanmar dealer for Oxfordshire, Farol LTD has sold an SV18. This is in addition to the recent popularity of this compact mini excavator north of the border in Scotland.
The machine weighs 1975kg and comes complete with Yanmar's reliable variable undercarriage, allowing the machines to move between 980 and 1320 mm wide. It is commonly used for jobs such as; agriculture, pipe laying, general construction and landscaping. It is also a popular choice for rental hire firms.

- The SV18 has an LCD display screen which gives the operator real status updates of the machine. This allows you to manage working time, daily maintenance operations and to program interventions. It provides useful information on the operation of the machine, such as engine oil and coolant temperatures, as well as current fuel levels. You can also see when the machine is in second speed tracking mode, which incidentally is easily changed using a button situated on the blade control lever.
- A reduced tail overhand has meant the SV18 is now more compact, making transportation easier. The machine will easily fit on a trailer including buckets and hydraulic breaker. 4 anchor points across the undercarriage and blade allow for safe tie down.
- Equipped with a new-generation Yanmar TNV (Totally New Value) engine to reduce noise and polluting emissions but also to improve starting (it warms up faster), the engine meets emissions standards of the European Commission (EC) for an eco-friendly and cost-effective machine that surpasses the previous TNE series.
- The hydraulic circuit of the SV18 gives the operator excellent performance and control of accessories, regardless of the flow rate or load. This is due to the variable flow pump and load sensing flow circuit and a dual action auxiliary circuit . The auxiliary line is controlled proportionally using the right hand joystick and allows for smooth control of accessories such as augers or breakers.
